Importance of Earth Loop Impedance Testing
When carrying out Periodic Inspection Reporting (PIR) attention is drawn to the importance of carrying out Earth Loop Impedance Testing to ensure the disconnection of a device for the protection against Indirect Contact.
Fit Resuscitation Information Signage
There is no resuscitation notice at the mains position. This can help a passer-by administer first aid
Unassociated cabling in electrical equipment
The 1st floor switch fuse was found to have unassociated cables passing through. This contravenes BS7671 and can cause a client disruption when an unassociated switch has to be opened to work on cabling, which could simply be installed in a conduit.
Selection of the correctly rated fault level fuse
The 1st floor switch fuse is fitted with 1KA rated BS3036 fuse but the measured fault level (KA) was found to be 4.9KA. Therefore, we fitted a BS88 switch fuse which is rated at 80KA.
